Brugg Steel Ropes sp. z o. o. sp.k.
We produce rope, chain, belt and combined slings.
Rope slings are suitable for loads with smooth, oily or slippery surfaces. However, rope slings with hooks are used to connect a crane or overhead crane with loading eyes. Rope slings are not suitable for materials with sharp edges and hot materials.
In the case of wire rope slings, remember that most rope end connections reduce the minimum breaking strength of the rope. Only cast-in rope connections provide 100% MSZ with minimal rope breaking force. Connecting the ends of the rope with knots is not allowed because the load-bearing capacity of the rope is significantly reduced due to high surface pressure and kinks. The strands and wires are compressed in such a way that the connection of the rope is no longer guaranteed.
The combined rope/chain sling is used for transporting profile steel and on construction sites, where a large chain is used to catch loads with sharp edges and a rope is used to pull the chain under the load. Not suitable for smooth and slippery loads.
Chain slings are used for hot materials, loads that are not slippery and objects with sharp edges. Chains with hooks are used as a connection between the hooks of a crane or overhead crane and the load handles. They are not suitable for smooth and slippery loads.
Belt and hose slings are used for particularly slippery or sensitive loads, e.g. rollers, shafts, finished parts, painted parts. They are not suitable for loads with sharp edges and hot.
Natural fiber ropes and synthetic fiber ropes are used for pressure-sensitive and relatively light loads, e.g. pipes, heating/ventilation elements, parts with pressure-sensitive surfaces. They are not suitable for loads with sharp edges and hot.
