Ropes for cranes and cranes are very often non-rotating ropes, i.e. those whose torque is low. A wire rope has low torque if the rope does not or almost does not rotate about its longitudinal axis under the influence of an unguided load or if it exerts very little torque on the end attachments. This is achieved by having the core of the rope have a winding direction opposite to the winding direction of the rope in low-twist ropes. When loaded, two opposite torques are created.<\/p>

Pressed strands of ropes for cranes and overhead cranes are strands made of round wires, the diameter of which is reduced - thickened - after the twisting process by drawing, rolling or hammering. Before the pressing process, the round wire strand has a larger strand diameter. With the same strand structure, a larger diameter strand allows the use of thicker wires. This means that the dense strand has a higher fill factor and a higher breaking force than a comparable conventional strand made of round wires of the same diameter. Especially with multi-layer windings, the outer strands of adjacent rope strands interlock and thus lead to severe external abrasion.<\/p>

A characteristic feature of dense weaves is a smooth, cylindrical surface. Thanks to this, they are much more resistant to abrasion and transverse pressure forces than conventional strands.<\/p>

The diameter of the wheels and rope drums of cranes and overhead cranes is closely related to the diameter of the ropes for cranes and overhead cranes.<\/p>

The most important decision when choosing a rope for cranes and overhead cranes is: "Swivel or non-swivel rope?" This decision must be made very carefully and you cannot make a mistake. This may result in short rope life, changes in its weave, uncontrolled rope breakage, etc. Non-swivel ropes should be used to lift loads that are not carried by one string. This is also the case when lifting a load that is not guided by several rope strands and high lifting heights. Non-swivel ropes with or without a swivel can be used for work.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Swivel ropes should be used to lift loads guided by ropes for cranes and overhead cranes. This is also the case when lifting loads that are not guided by several rope strands and a low lifting height (e.g. electric winches). This is also the case when lifting loads using right-handed and left-handed ropes in pairs.
